2008:
We had a wonderful time at Balamku. It was exactly what we were looking for.
The staff was helpful, friendly and very knowledgable of what to do in the area.
Go see Balamku before it is overrun with all the tourists. If you go, you will
have the experience of a lifetime. Clifton and Shawna July 08
Beautiful! We were very impressed with the beauty of the simplicity with
which the eco-friendly systems were run. Incredibly friendly owners and staff.
They've thought of everything. We would definitely recommend to friends and
family. George and Gwen, June 08

"What I liked about Majahual is that it is still relatively undeveloped. In many ways it's still a small fishing village with a single sandy main street where you can relax with a beer and watch village life unfold. A small market is held weekly. Great material for photographers."

"It was all we expected from your web page and more. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Being on the beach was great - the sound of the ocean was the best sleep aid ever. Your hospitality made us feel right at home and we especially appreciated your attention to the environment. Mahahual is a great town. And the diving on Chinchorro Bank was absolutely amazing"

"a jewel in an emerging tourist destination. This eco-friendly lodge is a leader of it's kind. Balamku incorporates all the best practices into one operation: beach maintenance, no generator noise, no smelly septic area, great staff, helpful information, great breakfasts, use of regional furniture and accessories."

Pictures cannot capture the amazing beauty of Balamku. We found paradise!
The palapa felt like home. Waking up to the ocean breeze, the sound of the
water, palm trees and birds and the view of the sunrise put us at peace with
the world. Carol and Alan's attitude on preserving the beauty here made us
proud to be guests. Josh and Nicole April/07
